He then transitioned into a business career with the Union Camp Corporation and continued his professional growth in various roles. Upon the completion of a corporate merger at Union Camp, he began a 19-year career at Duer/Carolina Coil in Spartanburg. He initially led the sales and marketing efforts and then assumed responsibility of general manager and president.
